Applications of DOMITE wear and impact resistant products
The microstructure of theDOMITE wear resistant alloy contains primary and secondary carbides up to 1800-2000 HV supported by a martensitic matrix to give the metal a nominal hardness of 700HB (equal to 63HRc).
All these products are designed to withstand high impact and provide maximum wear resistance in the mining, earthmoving, construction, dredging, crushing, sugar and recycling industries.
Some of best instalations of DOMITE group of wear resistant products are:
| • Truck bed linings | • Grizzly Bars | • Rock box ledges |
| • Transfer Points | • Splitter bars/dividers | • Surge bin linings |
| • Drill stabilizers | • Reclaimer buckets | • Bucket wheel protection |
| • Arm and Hub Liners | • Chute/bin linings | • Screen plates |
Original DOMITE products from Australia have unique wear resistant properties resulting in longer life time.
DOMITE bimetallic wear resistant products with hardness of 700HB (equal to 63HRc) can be successfully welded and cut without compromising the integrity and performance of the product.
Please check ‘Comparable wear life’ where you can see that in international laboratory testing DOMITE abrasion and impact resistant products achieved 13 times longer life time than abrasion resistant wear plates of 400 Brinell hardness!
Small selection of the many successful set up applications for DOMITE wear resistant products are shown on pictures below.

Dredge Pump protected with Domite wear products, replaced AR400 plates. |
Coal crusher using Domite tips replaced conventional hard-facing and high labor maintenance costs. |
DOMITE Chocky bars are used for protection in wear areas on buckets, excavators or draglines. |
