DOMITE bimetallic, wear resistant composite
DOMITE products are made in Australia by the CQMS Group. This unique product was originally created for the Australian mining and quarrying industries by Mason & Cox Foundries in 1967 at which time an Australian patent for the product was applied for and granted.
DOMITE is a laminated bi-metallic, wear resistant composite, which combines a highly alloyed chromium-molybdenum white iron bonded to a mild steel backing plate. The resultant metallurgical bond possesses high shear strength and will not separate. Hardness of wear resistant white iron is 700HB (63HRc). The mild steel backing plate provides a cushion or means of absorbing extremely high impact and loading as well as allowing the product to be welded, machined or stud bolted for fixing in place.
DOMITE bimetallic wear resistant products with hardness of 700HB (equal to 63HRc) can be successfully welded and cut without compromising the integrity and performance of the product.
Long life DOMITE offers extreme protection for extreme applications, resulting in increased production, less down time and lower maintenance costs.
