Results of DOMITE abrasion test carried out by independent council
The test data shown is based on tests carried out by the University of British Columbia following a testing program initiated by the National Research Council of Canada. This testing program had the full support of a number of internationally known Mining companies.
The tests were carried under strict controls and were tested against most of the more commonly used wear materials such as the quenched and tempered (Q&T) family of wear plates with hardness 400 to 600 HB, as well as the family of chrome-carbide overlay products (clad plates) commonly used in the mining, sugar, power, cement and re-cycling industries. At the end, cast manganese steel samples as well as some tungsten carbide enhanced overlays were also used in the test program.
It can be seen from the data sheets that our DOMITE had the least material weight loss of any product.
